Ekweremadu, wife trafficked homeless Lagos boy for organ harvesting, British Police opens up, denies Senator, wide bail [Documents]

Mr and Mrs Ekweremadu

The UK Metropolitan Police has revealed that the child in the centre of an Organ Harvesting Case involving Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu is below 18 years.

Jungle-Journalist.Com Thursday, had reported that Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice were arrested for plotting to bring in a child from Nigeria for Organ Harvesting.

Both were charged with conspiracy to arrange or facilitate travel of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting. They have been remanded in custody.

The Metropolitan Police revealed that the child who is under the age of 18 is in care. Organ harvesting involves removing parts of the body, often for cash and against the victim’s will.

The police, however, did not reveal the gender or the actual age of the child – or the location of the arrests. But given the suspects are appearing in court in Oxbridge, it is likely they were held at the nearby Heathrow Airport.

Ekweremadu has been in the UK for at least two weeks having met with members of the Nigerian community in Britain in Lincoln around ten days ago. An investigation was launched into his activities after detectives were alerted to potential offences under modern slavery legislation in May.

Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice have been denied bail by a magistrate’s court in London over charges that they trafficked a 15-year-old homeless Lagos boy with the intention to harvest his organs.

The arrest was announced by the London Metropolitan Police on Thursday, with officials saying the couple would be charged promptly before a court in Uxbridge.

Mr. Ekweremadu appeared before a magistrate on Thursday afternoon and was denied bail.

The case was subsequently adjourned until July 7. The Senator and his wife have been under investigation since May 2022.

Efforts to reach the spokesperson for the former deputy senate president, Uche Anichukwu, proved abortive as the calls went unanswered.

Below is the copy of a letter from the Senator, implicating him in the matter:

Abuja High Court grants leave to Patrick Eholor to file suit compelling IGP and AGF to extradite  Abba Kyari

An Abuja High Court presided over by Justice Bolaji Belgore has granted a court order for leave by Chief Patrick Eholor to bring in an application for mandamus to prompt the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) to file criminal charges against DCP Abba Kyari in view of attached warrant of arrest from the United States. The leave was granted today, November 4.

Chief Patrick Eholor, president of One Love Foundation had instituted a suit against the embattled former commander of the IRT Police Squad, DCP Abba Kyari.

Chief Patrick Eholor filed suit no:FCT/HC/CV/561/2021, with DCP Abba Kyari, AGF and the Nigerian Police Force as parties.

Eholor through his lawyer Paul Odeh Esq in moving the application, urged the court to consider the entire annexures of indicting criminal complaint from the USA District Court and the failure of the 2nd and 3rd defendants, the  AGF and Nigeria Police Force to properly commence investigation and graft charges against DCP Abba Kyari, even after investigation into the graft charges brought upon him by the federal authorities of the United States.

The court then considered and listened to all arguments of Eholor’s counsel and then granted leave.

The legal consequence of the above court order is that contrary to fears in different quarters that Kyari is about to be returned to the Police and IGP IRT as a commander once again, by virtue of this order, it will be comtemptous of the AGF and IGP to readmit Kyari and call off his suspension.

Recall that Kyari was indicted by a US court sitting in California over alleged involvement in internet fraud of over a 1.1million dollars with Ramonu Abba popularly known as Hushpuppi where it was alleged that he (Hushpuppi) swindled a Qatari businessman trying to set up a school in Qatar.

The matter is still ongoing in the United States, and this case by Chief Eholor and the new court order on Kyari is another watershed.

‘His son in law, Osunde has a corruption case on his neck, where people lost over 23 billion to him. The EFCC arrested him, and the case is still there.

BREAKING: Eholor finally drags Gov Obaseki to court for refusing to appoint commissioners

Founder of One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Eholor has summoned the Edo State governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki to the Federal High Court, Benin Division, to explain why he has refused to appoint commissioners and have a properly constituted executive council, several months after he wok elections.

In an Originating Summons, Eholor, through his counsel, TA Akahomen asked the Court to compel the Edo State Government and the Governor of Edo State to explain if the governor is empowered to run the government without the appointment of Commissioners, and Statutory Board Members for State Corporations and Agencies.

In the originating summons, Eholor sought an order for the governor to be compelled to appoint commissioners, not at his discretion, but as a matter of constitution which he must obey; a constitution he swore t to protect and obey.

He argued that’s it’s more than six months after Governor Obaseki was sworn in on November 12, and commissioners according to the constitution, help the governor bring out the best for effective governance. He emphasized that the attorney general and Commissioner for Justice were missing, and were very strategic to good governance.

He therefore asked the court to issue Mandatory Orders to compel the Governor to make the appointments.

In his words, Chief Eholor, also known as the Ultimate Equals decried the development, saying that its very sad that Edo State is the only State in Nigeria with out a State Executive Council.

“We voted for a Governor not a sole Administrator or Emperor “, he told journalists.

MASSOB commends Southern Governors, says moves would end Islamists’ terrorism agenda

MASSOB leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu addresses members at a gathering

Leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) says it acknowledged the eloquent and bold steps being taken by the governors of southern Nigeria.

MASSOB in an electronic mail to Jungle Journalist Media Ltd, described Southern Nigeria as ‘comprising territorial lands of Biafra and Oduduwa Republics’, arguing that the move by the governors will protect the political interest and future survival of southern Nigeria regions from domination by the Hausa Fulani.

Signed by MASSOB leader Comrade Uchenna Madu, the release said the indigenous peoples are happy with the moves, and warned that people in power are colluding with Fulanis across the globe to ‘islamize Nigeria’, kill off the indigenous peoples and take over their ancestral lands, using terrorists and bandits.

It read further “The unanimous decision of the southern region governors in banning the open grazing by Fulani herdsmen and insistence on national dialogue have suddenly aroused and stirred up the frustrated anger and insensitivity of the northern leaders through Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) that opposed the position of the southern region governors Forum in banning open grazing and call for national dialogue. The ACF spits poisonous venoms against the southern region governors and declares war against the southern region.

“MASSOB encourages the southern region governors and other leaders to sustain the southern unity and brace up for the defense of their indigenous people. The Hausa Fulani people are fearful cowards, they only depend on the indigenous people of Middle Belt region to carry out their political, subjective domination, religious and economical wars against the southern region.

“MASSOB advises the indigenous people of Middle Belt region to unanimously oppose every external pressure of the Fulani oligarchy to subject them as political tools of waging war against the southern region. The indigenous people of Middle Belt region must join the southern region in their quest for political emancipation from the subjective domination of Fulani oligarchy”, Comrade Madu said in the release.

FULL COMMUNIQUE: 17 Southern governors meet in Asaba, ban open grazing, ask Buhari to address Nigerians, convoke ‘national dialogue’

The governors of the 17 southern states in Nigeria on Tuesday called on the federal government to “convoke a national dialogue as a matter of urgency.”

They also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to “address Nigerians on the challenges of insecurity…”

The governors also resolved to ban open grazing of cattle in all their states.

The three resolutions were among 12 reached by the governors at their meeting in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

Below is a full list of the resolutions reached by the governors:

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE MEETING OF THE GOVERNORS OF SOUTHERN NIGERIA IN GOVERNMENT HOUSE, ASABA, DELTA STATE, ON TUESDAY, 11TH MAY, 2021

At its meeting, held today, 11th May, 2021, the Southern Governors Forum reviewed the situation in the nation generally and focused
on the current security situation, agitations/restructuring,
prospect for inter-state collaboration and partnerships as well as on the incidence of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Rising from the meeting, the Forum:

i) affirmed that the peoples of Southern Nigeria remain
committed to the unity of Nigeria on the basis of justice,
fairness, equity and oneness and peaceful co-existence
between and among its peoples with a focus on the attainment of shared goals for economíc development and prosperity;

ii) observed that the incursion of
armed herders, criminals
and bandits into the Southern part of the country has presented a severe security challenge such that citizens are not able to live their normal lives including pursuing
various productive activities leading to a threat to food supply and general security. Consequently, the meeting resolved that open grazing of cattle be banned across
Southern Nigería;

iii) noted that development and population growth has put pressure on available land and increased the prospects of conflict between migrating herders and local populations in the South. Given this scenario, it becomes imperative to enforce the ban on open grazing in the South (including
cattle movement to the South by foot);

iv) recommended that the Federal Government should support WILLING States to develop alternative and modern
livestock management systems;

v) agreed that the progress of the nation requires that urgent and bold steps be taken to restructure the Nigerian Federation leading to the evolution of state police, review
of revenue allocation formula in favour of the sub-national
governments and creation of other institutions which legitimately advance our commitment to and practice of true federalism;

vi) recommended that in view of widespread agitations among
our various peoples for greater inclusiveness in existing
governance arrangements, the Federal Government should
convoke a national dialogue as a matter of urgency;

vii) recommended that in deference to the sensitivities of our
various peoples, there is need to review appointments into Federal
Government Agencies (including Security Agencies) to reflect federal character as Nigeria’s overall
population is heterogenous;

viii) resolved to foster cooperation among the Southern States
and the nation at large. In this connection, Secretaries to
the Governments of the Southern States are to work together to develop and institutionalize a mechanism to foster this cooperation which will advance the comparative economic advantages and other interests of the Southern
States;

ix) expressed concern on the continued gridlock on the
Oshodi – Apapa Expressway and the chokehold it has exerted on the nation’s economy being the sole outlet from Apapa Wharf. The meeting therefore recommended the activation and establishment of ports in other States of the
federation to create new jobs and promote socio-economic
activities in the country;

x) the meeting expressed concern on the economic implications of another lockdown on the country, and therefore suggested greater coordination and cooperation
between Federal and State Governments in evolving
strategies for dealing with the pandemic;

xi) expressed very grave concern on the security challenge currently plaguing the nation and strongly urged that Mr. President should address Nigerians on the challenges of insecurity and restore the confidence of our people; and

xii) expressed gratitude to our host, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa
for his generosity and hospitality.
