It was a gathering of National Assembly heavyweights Wednesday, 19th May 2021 when Engineer Lawrence Ezeh was inducted as a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, FNSE.

The induction, which took place at the national secretariat of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Sanni Abacha Way, Central Business District, Abuja was well attended by top engineers across the country, their families and friends. Ezeh, who was among 66 inductees, joined other engineers at the podium of the auditorium in receiving the honours.

The event is the 17th edition of the Fellowship Conferment Ceremony. The NSE auditorium also saw a gathering of political heavyweights from Enugu State, who came en masse to rejoice with Engineer Ezeh.

Among the guests include the former Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, Senator Ike Ekweremmadu, as well as a former senator and gubernatorial candidate in the 2019 elections in Enugu State, Senator Ayogu Eze.Others include Senator Chuka Utazi, representing Enugu North Senatorial Zone, immediate past senator to represent Enugu East Senatorial zone, Senator Gilbert Nnaji, and the House Member representing Isi Uzor and Enugu East in the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Cornelius Nnaji.

Present at the induction include also, the House Member representing Nkanu East and West in the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Nnolim Nnaji, along with his predecessor, Honourable Chukwuemeka Ujam.

Other notable personalities who were present include the Chairman of Easton Hill Continental Hotel, Chief Dr Mike Onu, President General of Mburubu Town Union, among others.

Speaking at the ceremony in her opening remarks, Engineer Ebele Okeke, who is the chairman, Board of Fellows/ College of Fellows, told the inductees to be proud ambassadors of the NSE.

President of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Babagana Mohammed, FNSE stated that “The board has certified a total of 66 engineers who have gone through very thorough screening and acceptance processes. And found worthy in professional practice, and character, to be upgraded to the prestigious Fellowship Society”.

Prince Lawrence Ezeh graces TIME AFRICA MAGAZINE cover

It’s an honour to be featured on the cover of TIME AFRICA magazine, given the publication’s inept rereach and reach. For its March edition, the magazine has featured Prince Lawrence Ezeh, former Senator Candidate for Enugu East Senatorial, South East Nigeria.

PDP Constitutes Electoral Committee for S’South Zonal Congress, as Senator Mao, Prince Ezeh emerge Chairman, Secretary

The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted the South-South Electoral Committee for its zonal Congress.

The Congress, billed to take place on the 9th of March 2021, is for the purpose of electing zonal executive officers and national ex-officio members for the South-South zone.

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa emerged the Committee Chairman, while Prince Lawrence Ezeh is the Secretary.

Other members of the Committee include Prince Ukpong Akpabio, Mrs Lucy Omagbon, and Gabriel Adetokunbo Pearse, PhD.

The exercise would take place at the Zonal Headquarters of the Party, in Port Harcourt.

The Committee is expected to be guided strictly by the PDP Constitution
(2017 as amended), the PDP Electoral Guidelines for the conduct of Ward, LGA, State, Zonal Congresses and the Electoral Act, 2010 as amended.

The members are also expected to adhere to Chapter
1, Section 6(7) of the PDP Constitution which stipulates that not less than 35%
of nomination for Party offices shall be reserved for women.

BREAKING: Prince Lawrence Ezeh nominated to chair PDP screening Committee

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have appointed Prince Lawrence Ezeh as chairman of its Screening Committee, for South South chapter.

According to a letter signed by the National Organising Secretary of the Party, Colonel Austin Akobundu, the National Working Committee of the party appointed Ezeh, alongside other members to serve in the Screening Committee to screen all aspirants from the South South for its upcoming zonal Congresses.

Other members of the Committee (NWC) include
Barr Austin Mbaka (Secretary),
Prince Ukpong Akpabio (Member), Banigo Boma Edward (Member), Hon Chima Ekeleme Ikeije (Member).

The screening exercise is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, March 03, 2021 at the Zonal Headquarters of the Party, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

According to the letter, “they are expected to be guided strictly by the PDP
Constitution (2017 as amended), the PDP Electoral Guidelines for the conduct of Ward, LGA, State, Zonal Congresses and the Electoral Act, 2010 as amended.”

Prince of Mburubu storms Nkanu Cultural Fiesta +PHOTOS

The Chairman of Buzuzu Construction Company Limited, Prince Lawrence Ozoemena Ezeh was part of dignitaries who graced the maiden edition of Nkanu Cultural Fiesta.

The event, which held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Stadium, Enugu yesterday, 30th November, 2020 was put up by Nkanu Youth Assembly.

Ezeh was accompanied by members of the Aka Ekpuchi Onwa Team, and was welcomed by the National President of NYA, Hon. Edeani M. Edeani and other executive members of the organisation.

On its plea to the state Governor to live up his pledge to return power to Nkanu land, which make up the Enugu East Senatorial Zone, NYA through its president, Hon. Edeani M. Edeani, said that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who was at the occasion has been very supportive to Enugu youths.

Edeani urged Gov. Ugwuanyi to remain committed to his earlier stance that it is the turn of Enugu East Senatorial zone to produce the next governor of Enugu State in 2023, and wished that the person from Nkanu land will be “a humble, peace-loving and hardworking governor like Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi”.

The National President also appreciated other personalities who have been supporting the association to realize its set objectives and went further to propose that every November 29 should be declared as “Nkanu Cultural Day” in the state.

The maiden annual cultural event, which was organized to promote unity and the beautiful culture of Nkanu, as well as protect the socio-political cum economic interests of the zone, honoured the former President of the Senate, Senator Ken Nnamani as the Grand Patron of the association.

It equally recognized other notable sons of Nkanu land as Patrons such as the member representing Nkanu East Constituency, Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor; Capt. Everest Nnaji (Odengene); Prof. Hillary Edeoga (Former Vice Chancellor, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State); Engr. Okwudiri Daniel Ohaa (Enugu State Chief Fire Officer) Major Gen. C.O Ugwu. Rtd (Ambassadorial Nominee), among others. Members of the Advisory Board of the group such as the Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Ferguson Chimaroke Nnamani Jnr., were also honoured.

In his remarks, Senator Nnamani expressed deep appreciation to Gov. Ugwuanyi for the enduring peace being enjoyed in Enugu State, stating that it is “uncommon” in other states in the country.

The former Senate President stressed that the fact that the governor has ushered in an enduring peace in Enugu State, it is a worthy legacy he will be leaving behind at the end of his tenure in 2023.

He therefore encouraged the governor, who was presented with a Meritorious Award of Excellence by the Nkanu Youth Assembly, as the “Icon of Peace and Youth Development”, in recognition of “your excellent leadership and inclusion of youths in governance”, to continue to provide dividends of democracy to all the three senatorial districts in the state.

Also speaking, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi, harped on the need for the various youth associations in the zone to harmonize their objectives and work together to achieve their common goal of realizing the governorship seat of the state in 2023, which he expressed optimism that the governor plays a major role to actualize.

Dignitaries at the colourful event include the member representing Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency, Hon. Prince Cornelius Nnaji; the member representing Enugu South Urban Constituency, Hon. Sam Ngene; the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, Hon. Maduka Arum; the former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eugene Odoh; former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Chief Dubem Onyia; the former Secretary to the State Government, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani; Prince Engr. Lawrence Ezeh, and former Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, Hon. Ikechukwu Ubagu.

PHOTOS: Prince Lawrence Ezeh charges Enugu Youths to take power, donates bus to Group

The chairman of Buzuzu
Construction Company Limited, and Price of Mburubu ancient Kingdom, Engineer Lawrence Ezeh has charged youths of Enugu extraction to strive hard to take over political leadership of the state, come 2023.

Ezeh gave the charge at the 3rd year anniversary of Coal City Youth Development Initiative, which was marked at Ascott Hotel, New Haven Enugu.

He was accompanied by the Prince of Nkerefi, Hon Onuoha, the President-General of Mburubu Town Union, Hon Emmanuel Edeh as well as the publisher of Jungle Journalist Media Limited, ThankGod Ofoelue.

Addressing the Assembly of young men and women, the Prince of Mburubu, as he is fondly called decried the tendency of the youths to allow themselves be easily bought over by politicians during elections.

He also asked them to stop selling their conscience for money and then turning around to complain that they have been shortchanged when denied political relevance in leadership.

Responding, the chairman of of the group, Hon Arinze Chilo-Ofiah thanked the engineer for his advice and promised that the youths would strive to act on his advice.

Highpoint of the event was the donation of a Toyota Hummer bus to the organisation by Eng Ezeh.

Handing over the keys to the Chilo-Ofiah and the founder, Mr John Paul Anih, Ezeh stated that he gave the bus because the youth group had solicited for one, and no one had shown any sign to assist.

He charged them to make good use of the utility bus for the benefit of Enugu Youths and people.

Prince of Mburubu to be Inducted into Ohanaeze Ndigbo Hall of Fame, Receive Omereoha Title

A foremost investor in the oil and gas sector, and Enugu State born philanthropist, Engineer Lawrence Ezeh will be inducted into the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Hall of Fame by Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Enugu State Chapter.

Ezeh, who is fondly referred to as the ‘Five Star Prince’ will also be conferred with the title of ‘Omereoha Enugu State’.

Engineer Ezeh, who is the Prince of Mburubu ancient Kingdom of Nkanu land, will receive the honours at the national Secretariat of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, 7 Park Avenue, GRA Enugu.

The event, which is billed for Saturday 29th August 2020, will have top dignitaries of Igbo extraction in attendance, including the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo.

Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who is the executive governor of Enugu State will be the special guest of honor, while the father of the day will be the Chairman, Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, HE Ambassador Lawrence Agubuzu.

According to a letter exclusively made available to Jungle Journalist Media Ltd, and signed by the Enugu State President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Hon Chidozie Alex Ogbonna, “Ohanaeze Ndigbo is proud to note that (Prince Lawrence Ezeh) was at the forefront of ameliorating the pains of our people during the period through generous interventions in the local government and in particular, Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State. It is for this reason that the Selection Committee of Ohanaeze Ndigbo recommended the induction”.

Prince Lawrence Ezeh contested for the Senate seat of Enugu East Senatorial Zone in 2019.

He is also a major investor in the oil and gas industry, as well as roads, bridges and house construction projects. He is the CEO of Deep Well Petroleum Limited, and also owns Buzuzu Construction Company Limited.

For many years now, Ezeh has taken it upon himself to provide basic amenities for Mburubu and Nkanu East people.

He has built roads, and repaired others, provided water and electricity, and provided scholarships to thousands of citizens of Enugu State.

Prince also played a major role in providing for citizens during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Engr Ezeh, who is also known as’ Agu di Ebube nke mbu n’Nkanu, CEO, Buzuzu Construction Company and Chairman of Prince and Princess Lawrence Ezeh’s Foundation, Deep Well Technical Ltd to mention but a few, is a servant leader, who practically understands the possible solution towards salvaging sociocultural, economic and political issues with moral and ethical principles of leadership.No doubt, Engr Ezeh, the illustrious son of Mburubu, born in the family of His Royal Majesty, Igwe E. May God bless the founder of Aka Ekpuchi Onwa Political Organization. Prince (Engr) Lawrence Ezeh, a man with an incorruptible spirit who is ready to tender himself as a sacrificial lamb for the continuity of Enugu State leadership prowess at all levels.

This is to say that, Ezeh as an unshakable personality, is among the top personalities that has the requisite skills, ability and liberal mind to deliver true and passionate democracy in Enugu State if giving such privilege and opportunity come 2023.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Enugu State Chapter, Engineer Lawrence Ezeh has congratulated the new National Vice-Chairman of the PDP, after he assumed office earlier today in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Ezeh, who contested in the 2019 Senatorial elections for Enugu East, was present at the party secretariat, where he expressed hope that the party will take over leadership in the country.

Congratulating the new South South boss of the party, Ezeh said his capable leadership of the party in Edo State led to the weakening and eventual splitting of the opposition party in the state.

He also expressed optimism that the party will grow, not just in the geopolitical zone, but across the country as a result of Orbih’s fighting spirit.

Those in attendance include the Akwa Ibom and Cross River states Chairmen of the party, as well as numerous other stakeholders in the zone.

Prince Lawrence Ezeh is an independent-minded leader with an even-keel temperament, charismatic speaking skills and a knack for consensus-building.

He is also a talented introspective writer. His values are strongly shaped by his expertise as a Marine Engineer, personal philosophy and his Christian virtues. He represents a new dawn in the politics of Enugu State and Nigeria at large considering his fundamental political ideologies, which is; politics of inclusiveness as evident in his moral consistency and faith in the indivisibility of Enugu State.

Prince Ezeh has management forte. He has had business experience before arriving into politics. There are strong indications that if given the opportunity to serve he has the administrative acumen to handle, successful government.

No doubt he is an ambitious business mogul who from the very day he joined the business world, decided to creditably distinguish himself and his company.
