Stop tainting Senator Abaribe’s image, Igbo Group warns

Pan Igbo sociopolitical organisation, Igbo Renaissance Forum (IRF) have warned social media users against sending fake messages about the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe to the public.

IRF in a Press Release frowned at an information circulating in the social media that the Senator is against the coming of Chinese doctors to Igbo land.

Signed by its International Coordinator, Nze Ugo-Akpe Onwuka (Oyi) and made available to Jungle Journalist Media Limited, the statement, the statement wondered the goal of the proponents of the said information, while noting that the faceless scoundrels behind the message even went as far as claiming that the Senator berated other Igbo political leaders, and eulogized Nnamdi Kanu.

It read; “The Igbo Renaissance Forum would want to use this medium to send a very strong warning to those who have preoccupied themselves with sending out fake messages on social media in the name of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, the Senate Minority Leader to stop henceforth.

“We do not know what these people concocting these LIES want to achieve.

“We place a very high premium on Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who has so far distinguished himself, both as a Senate Minority Leader and a typical nwa afọ Igbo.

“We shall not fold our arms and watch as such unfortunate falsehood targeted at tainting his person and creating unnecessary controversy that would distract the Honourable Senator at this time that we are all trying to contribute our genuine efforts towards containing the rampaging COVID-19 PANDEMIC barraging through nations.

“Those behind these fake news should desist from such shameful action”, it concluded.

Abia APC blasts Abaribe over attack on Buhari

All Progressives Congress (APC), Abia State chapter has blasted Senate

Minority Leader, Senator Enynnaya Abaribe over his recent call on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign over the worsening security situation in the country, saying he lacks the moral fibre to make such call.

Speaking at Isuochi in Umunneochi Local Government Area, the state chairman of APC, Chief Donatus Nwankpa accused Abaribe of abandoning his constituents to always abuse Buhari and charged him to publish his achievements as the Senator representing Abia South senatorial district.

Nwankpa said going by events in the past years, Abaribe lacked the moral right to ask the president to resign from office, saying if anyone should have resigned from office; it should be the senator who he accused of failing his constituents.

In his words; “Senator Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe lacks the moral right to ask President Buhari to resign from office. Abaribe is suffering from diarrhoea of the mouth and does not know when to play politics and when to be serious on an important national issue.

“He was not elected senator of “Igboland” as he wants people to believe, but that of Abia South. If that is the case, he should tell us what he has achieved as senator representing Abia South for 13 years now. There is no good road to his country home at Ohuru, Obingwa LGA. Abaribe should be the first person to resign because he has failed to perform as a senator. He has no constituency project for his constituents”.

Buhari to Abaribe: You should be in jail for failing to produce Nnamdi Kanu

President Muhammadu Buhari has replied Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe who called for resignation over an alleged increase in the spate of insecurity in the country.

Recall that on Wednesday during Senate plenary, Mr Abaribe called on Mr Buhari to resign as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, following his failure to secure the country.

However, in a swift reaction, the President, through his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said Mr Abaribe’s call is foolish.

According to the President, the Senator is supposed to be in jail for his failure to produce IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu for whom he stood as surety.

President Buhari to resign on what basis?
Just because some characters think that President Buhari should resign, then they expect him to quit. That call does not represent the opinion of the country. This is the opinion of an arm chair critic, known for making stray comments.

If a leader like President Buhari needs to resign, there are millions of other Nigerians who need to resign, including Senator Abaribe who unlocked the door to enable the escape of traitorous and treasonable suspects.

He signed the bond for the court to release Nnamdi Kanu on bail, from which moment the suspect disappeared into the thin air. Senator Abaribe has failed repeated deadlines to return Kanu to the court for trial, yet he has the effrontery with which to accuse someone of failing to the bidding of the law.

This is a man who should have replaced the suspects he failed to produce in the correctional facility.

Abaribe’s party raped the nation and left it collapsing in 2015 and President Buhari is fixing things up all the years he is in office.

President Buhari is working hard to keep Nigeria and Nigerians out of the harm terrorists have unleashed in the entire Sahel and Sub-Saharan Africa with the support of Nigerians and our foreign friends, he is going to finish off these terrorists. He alone can do it.
