#EndSARS: Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN) Chairman says they have taken steps to restore peace at Oyigbo

I write to inform all the people who are concerned and worried about the rivers of blood flowing at Oyigbo or Obigbo that Igbo Leaders have taken the necessary steps to restore peace in the place.

Surely, peace shall return to Obigbo, in fact, peace is returning to Obigbo now as I speak because we have put the machineries in place to restore peace. It shall be well with the people of Obigbo. Surely, Obigbo shall enjoy its peace and tranquillity again. This peace is achieved by the same Igbo Leaders who Nnamdi Kanu directed his followers to kill, disgrace, bury alive and stone to death!

We have taken this step because of the innocent children deceived by the fugitive propagandist. We know that some of the people crying out now were the same people who promoted and sponsored Nnamdi Kanu when the Elders of Biafraland ostracised him from IPOB in 2014 and he formed his own faction. They despised His Lordship, His Royal Majesty, The Honourable Justice Eze Ozobu; they despised Dr Dozie Ikedife; they despised Col Joe Achuzia; they despised Chief Barr Debe Odumegwu Ojukwu, and followed a deceiver. However, we have forgiven everybody who was deceived into the Nnamdi Kanu’s cult.

2. When I heard that Nnamdi Kanu made an announcement on his Radio and placed a bounty of N100 million on the head of Governor Nyesom Wike, I knew that he had put the lives of our children in danger. He forgot that Governor Wike is a Governor with State Power in whom sovereignty resides and who has the power to exercise prerogative of mercy under Section 212 of the Constitution of Nigeria to decide who dies or who lives among the convicted criminals. He forgot that Governor Wike is a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and that no lawyer takes a threat to his life lightly. In fact, a threat to the life of Barrister Nyesom Wike is a threat to all lawyers in the world. What does he want the head of Governor Wike for? Now, Governor Wike has activated and unleashed his powers against innocent people who were deceived by a propagandist living in faraway Europe!

3. I remembered that when Nnamdi Kanu boasted some years ago that he would go to Abuja and behead President Muhammadu Buhari and bring Buhari’s head to Umuahia, the President could not take the threat lightly and therefore sent some Pythons to dance in Nnamdi Kanu’s compound leading to the death of about 350 innocent people even though he reported 28 including his dog. Obviously, Nnamdi Kanu does not understand the powers of sovereignty conferred on a president or governor.

4. My heart is bleeding. I write this message from my heart like a grieving father. Sometimes I blame myself for creating IPOB which has been counterfeited into something else. However, it is a well-known fact that thieves of intellectual properties are only interested in counterfeiting good products. Therefore the original IPOB is a good product which the thief of my intellectual property has counterfeited. All the Governments of this world know the original IPOB and the persons behind the original IPOB. Therefore, the ECOWAS COURT ruled in the Case No ECW/CCJ/APP/06/16 that Nnamdi Kanu does not have the mandate to represent IPOB. Of course, he can represent the limited liability company he registered in the UK but he has no mandate to represent INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA who have been in Court with Nigeria since 2012. The operational name of the original IPOB is the Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra (CGIPOB). It is a Government that exists under Customary Law and recognised by the Nigerian Constitution and activated by the Deed Poll of Customary Governance registered under the Nigerian Law just like the Sharia Government in the North exists under the Sharia Law and recognised by the Nigerian Constitution. Therefore, any faction of IPOB that is not recognised by the Customary Government is fake.

5. Sometimes I blame myself for creating IPOB and accepting Nnamdi Kanu into the Movement. Some people have advised that we should remove the name of IPOB from our name because Nnamdi Kanu has counterfeited and damaged the name. It is like advising Nigeria or Britain to remove the name of the Naira or the Pound Sterling because criminals have counterfeited the name of the currency. Well, the mistake has been made but it can be corrected. The name, INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA, is the name I coined for all the remnants of Biafra who were not consumed in the war. It is by this name that we commenced the case between Biafra and Nigeria in 2012 in the Suit No FHC/OW/CS/102/2012 in which we sued in a representative capacity because Biafra is not yet sovereign. The name was abbreviated to IPOB by Dr Dozie Ikedife in 2013. It is the name of a non-sovereign nation. It has no membership but subjects of a non-sovereign nation with indigenous database holding its population just like Nigeria has no membership but citizens and its national database. Any person who says that he is a member of IPOB has been deceived into a cult.

6. The political movement for the Biafrans with membership structure established by a legal instrument under the Nigerian Constitution is the Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria otherwise known as MOBIN which has submitted the Biafran Memorandum to the Nigerian Senate for Devolution of Power to the Regions to create Regional Autonomy for all Nigerians. MOBIN has a membership register and not citizenship database. The Biafran activists who believe in the legal methodology of self-determination consisting of the judicial, political and diplomatic processes are enjoined to apply for membership of MOBIN at http://www.mobinbiafra.org

7. The Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra issues the Certificates of Indigenous Identity and ID Cards to its subjects while the Nigerian Government issues National ID Cards and Passports to its citizens. The Customary Government has appointed many Customary Government Ambassadors known as Customary Envoys to represent the Biafrans in many nations of the world as a non-sovereign nation residing in sovereign nations under Customary International Law. We have maintained our position that we are Biafrans living in our ancestral homeland in Nigeria.

8. We have made it clear to the Nigerian Government and the Governments of all the countries of the world that we are Nigerians by citizenship but Biafrans by indigenous identity until we gain independence from Nigeria. This is the position of international law for a non-sovereign nation whose children are scattered in all parts of the world. Nigeria is bound by the rules of both national and international law to protect the lives of the Biafrans living in Nigeria. The Biafrans who believe in us are advised to visit the Customary Government website at http://www.ipobgovernment.org and put their names in the database and contact us by email addressed to info@ipobgovernment.org for further information.

9. The Biafrans in Obigbo or Oyigbo are Nigerians by citizenship but cannot deny their indigenous identity as Biafrans. At the moment, Biafra does not have a delimited and delineated territory but it has a defined people. Biafra is a nation but not yet a nation-state. Our people must understand this fact and rule of law and stop being destroyed for lack of knowledge. The place known as Oyigbo or Obigbo is a Nigerian territory by law but there are Biafrans living there. We are not contesting the Oyigbo Territory with the Nigerian Government for now until our case comes for determination in the Court of competent jurisdiction. If the Senate grants our demands as contained in our Memorandum and restructures Nigeria into Regional Autonomy, Oyigbo shall belong to the South-South Region. The lives of our children must not be sacrificed because of the foolishness of Nnamdi Kanu who lives abroad and deceives them with false propaganda. We have therefore requested Governor Wike to sheath his sword and spare our children. In my capacity as the founder and creator of the entity known as INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA, I apologise to Governor Wike on behalf of the Biafrans who believe in us for the insult and threat to the life of the Governor by the person who has placed a bounty of N100 million on the Governor’s head.

BREAKING NEWS: Biafrans appoint Customary Government Administrator and Envoy for South Africa

The Indigenous People of Biafra has appointed a Customary Government Administrator and Envoy for South Africa.

In a letter addressed to the Government of the Republic of South African through its Minister of Homeland Affairs, Dr Dr Pakishe Aaron Motsoaledi, the Biafrans announced the appointment of Victor Osonduagwuike Akanno, who is an engineer as its Administrator.

The letter, signed by Chairman of the Governing Council of the Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra, Emeka John Chigozie Emekesiri, Esq. announced that Engineer Akanno will be responsible for organizing Biafrans and managing their internal affairs in South Africa.

He would also ensure that they live in peace and harmony with their hosts, and work with the laws of the country.

Other parts of the letter, which was made available to Jungle Journalist Media Ltd read as follows:

“We are the custodians of the Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra which oversees and manages the affairs of the remnants of the Biafrans who are scattered in all parts of the world on self-exile since after the war between Biafra and Nigeria in 1970. Following the collapse of the Republic of Biafra and the loss of her sovereignty, some of our people who could not endure the persecutions and humiliations we faced and still face in Nigeria went on self-exile to foreign countries. Others who could not escape the ordeals remained in their homeland and were granted the Nigerian citizenship and permitted to practise their Customary Law pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Thus, we are Nigerians by citizenship and subject to the Nigerian law but Biafrans by indigenous identity and practicing our Customary Law under the Nigerian Legal System until we gain independence by due process of law.

“The Biafrans have migrated to all parts of the world in their great numbers. We can confirm that there is a large Biafran Community in South Africa. Also, the Biafran Babies who were evacuated from the war and carried to various countries of the world to save them from starvation and death have now grown to large communities desiring to reconnect with their ancestral roots.

Introducing our Customary Government Administrator and Envoy in South Africa:

“It is with great pleasure that we introduce MR VICTOR OSONDUAGWUIKE AKANNO whose details are shown above as our Customary Government Administrator and Envoy in South Africa. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and Member of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), trained at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), South Africa. He has impressive Curriculum Vitae.

“Mr Akanno is saddled with the task of organizing the Biafrans in South Africa and managing their internal affairs, ensuring that they live peacefully in harmony with their host communities and with one another, ensuring orderliness, discipline, and respect to constituted authorities and obedience to the laws of the country. He shall operate under Customary Law to manage the internal affairs of our children in South Africa and liaise with the Ministry of Home Affairs in South Africa in matters pertaining to them if your Office requires him to do so.

“We encourage our children to work hard and earn decent living and participate fully in the development of the communities and cities where they live in any part of the world. We believe that they shall contribute immensely in the development of their host towns and communities in South Africa and add value to the economy of the country.

“We have instructed our Customary Government Administrator and Envoy to present himself and his executive members to your Office in due course for a formal introduction. Please receive him in the name of the surviving Elders of Biafraland who have sent him to represent us in South Africa.

“We pray the Almighty God to be with you, and bless you with divine wisdom and good health to excel in your Office, and grant you the desires of your innermost heart in accordance with his perfect will”, the letter read.

Our existing Biafran Customary Government is registered under Nigerian Law- Barr Emeka Emekesiri

Barrister Emeka Emekesiri

The Vision Bearer of the legal framework of Biafra, Barrister Emeka Emekesiri has revealed that the Customary Government of the Indigenous People of Biafra has legal backing of the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Barrister Emekesiri made this revelation in a media document, made available to our reporters.

He also explained that a Biafran Government is already in place, but will be made complete by Biafrans massively participating in partisan politics by “joining political parties, running for elective positions, voting for Biafrans in elections”.

“Its when we have core Biafrans in political positions that they can determine the type of development we deserve here, and hasten the quest for nationhood through legal and political methodology”, Emekesiri said in a phone interview.

The media document read in part “In 2016, President Muhammadu Buhari granted an interview to the Al Jazeera in Qatar and was asked about his solution to the Biafra versus Nigeria conundrum. He gave a clear answer that the Biafrans should organise themselves and vote to have a State within a State.

“The Biafrans have complied with the President’s instruction or directive and have organised themselves. They have established and activated their Customary Government known as the Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra by a Deed Poll of Customary Governance registered under the Nigerian law.

“They have gathered themselves by the use of Town Hall Meetings under Customary law. Most importantly, the Biafrans have created their National Database which is capable of holding the entire population of Biafran people in the whole world.

“All Biafrans are advised to visit the Customary Government website at http://www.ipobgovernment.org and enter their details on the Database. They are also advised to contact the Customary Government Secretariat by email addressed to info@ipobgovernment.org for more information.

“Please listen to the instruction by the President of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, on the Al Jazeera Television. We invite you to come under the protection of the Customary Government of Indigenous People of Biafra”, it stated.

MOBIN calls on Ebonyi Biafrans to take over political space *As hundreds attend State, LG Chapters’ inauguration

Hundreds of people came out Sunday, 8th April 2018 in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital for the inauguration of the state chapter of Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN).

The inauguration, which was administered by the Director of Biafran National Orientation, Comrade Zulu Ofoelue, was attended by representatives from the 13 local governments of the state.

Delivering the Welfare Speech of MOBIN chairman, Barr Emeka Emekesiri, Director General of MOBIN, Eberechukwu Anigbogu stated: “Today we have come to inaugurate our political freedom fighters in Ebonyi State. We have come to impart to Ebonyi and its people the art of freedom fighting by politics and diplomacy. We want to train and educate the youths in politics and governance. We want to empower the people with political education. The whole country is sick and tired of expired politicians who are suffering from political dementia.

She said again: “To get a different result, we must do things in a different way. The different way is the new way created by MOBIN to actualise the people’s vision for self determination by the rule of law, politics and diplomacy.

“Our vote is our power. We call on the new Executive Officers of the Ebonyi State chapter of MOBIN to rise up to the challenge and mobinize all people in Ebonyi into politics”.

In his welcome address, the state coordinator of the organization, Albert Ogoko stated that MOBIN is a response to the needs of Being, which include its well-being and self determination.

His words: “MOBIN’s methods are in consonance with articles 18 and 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, December 10, 1948 on ‘freedom of thought and conscience’, and that every person or people has the freedom of opinion and expression which includes the rights to receive and impact information and ideas’.

Ofoelue in his inauguration, told the new members that they must be committed to the call to serve Biafrans in Ebonyi State: “We are MOBIN and are working with knowledge. There are many groups fighting for Biafra but unfortunately, many do not work with knowledge. Knowledge is power. Use your knowledge and the power of law to take power in your local communities. Go and join political parties and convince our people to join politics. Tell them that power is in the parliament. Don’t beg anyone to recognise you. Take power yourself and recognise yourself as the law. If a Biafran is the governor, or the Speaker of the House of Assembly, will you make law as against Biafrans? You will make laws that protect Biafrans. Don’t fight in the streets. Fight for political power and that way, we will arrive at Biafra”.

Former Director General of MOBIN, HE Obumneke Okafor opined that all Biafrans must embrace the MOBIN political methodology as this is the only way to take over the politics of Biafraland. “Once we elect our own Biafra-conscious people into power, then we can negotiate our struggle to fruition”.

Evang Joseph Agbo, the Director of Political Education while speaking on the legal and political alternative of MOBIN, harpenden on the inevitability of politics in the struggle for self-determination.
He said that the world has been silent in the face of the killings of Biafrans because “governments only recognise government”.

“The only way we can achieve Biafra is by taking charge of our political space. It is only when we elect Biafrans into power, only when Biafrans take charge of the Biafran political space that we can make laws that will decide the self determination of Biafra”.

Documents presented to the chapter include the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Indigenous Peoples,as well as the Organizational Structure and Management of Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria.
