Abia State Government has reduced the curfew duration in the state from 24 to 15 hours.
The State Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu said this in a Statement he signed, and made available to Jungle Journalist Media Limited.
It read in part: “We wish to inform members of the public that the planned relaxation of curfew in the state will now be from 8am-5pm starting from Sunday, 25th October, 2020.
“Members of the public are free to move and go about their normal businesses within the relaxation window but ensure they are back home during the new curfew time of 5pm to 8am daily.
“Kindly note that only properly identified workers on essential duties including medical and paramedical personnel, journalists, men of fire service etc are exempted from the curfew.
