Emerge Women and Partner organisations has announced that it will be holding a Zoom conference on Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV).
Emerge Women Development Initiative is partnering with Africa End Sexual Harrassment, WAFA and WASEI in a campaign on violence against women in Africa during Covid 19. This has been triggered by increased VAW in Nigeria as well as other african countries including Zimbabwe where three youth female politicians were abducted and sexully abused by government agents.
“We are outraged and want to know through this campaign why Nigeria and african leaders have remained quiet”, Emerge Women said in a statement.
Interested participants for the virtual meeting are expected to register online to participate.
