Vineshield hosts Igbo queens, announces 2017 Igbo Cultural pageant, awards

Winners of the 2016/17 edition of the Lolo Igbo Cultural Pageant yesterday paid a courtesy visit to Vine Shield Limited, Enugu, where they expressed their willingness to promote Igbo culture and tradition.

At a meeting of the staff of the company and the Lolos, they showed delight that plans are already underway to host the 2017 edition of the event, and promised to continue being great ambassadors of the Vine Shield brands- Igbo Awards, Lolo Igbo Cultural Pageant and Igbo Essay Competitions.
Onyekachi Amajuoyi, overall winner of the contest, Chisom Osi, winner for Ebonyi, and Ogechukwu Nnaji, winner for Imo were informed of preparations to host this year’s edition of the contest. 

In his address to the queens, Mazi ThankGod Ofoelue, Executive Director of the entertainment conglomerate called on them to begin rounding off their pet projects as time is no longer on their side.  

On their part, the queens gave details of their progress so far. After deliberations with staff, it was decided that the projects needed to be reviewed and suggestions were made for easier, more effective methods of execution. They were also informed that their deadlines for completion of the projects will be May 30, to enable the company focus of the 2017 edition of its events.
Ofoelue while receiving them, enjoined the Lolos to be not just good ambassadors of the Vine Shield brands, but of the entire Igbo nation. He cautioned them against misrepresentation of the image of the ideal Igbo Queen which they portray, and frowned at reports that one of the Lolos have gone out of her way to engage in a modeling contract, without resort to existing contract with Vine Shield Limited.
He stated that aside the fact that the half nude images of the said Lolo is placed side by side her noble Lolo images, she has violated the legal document she signed with the company never to engage in any such contract until her standing contract expires at the 2017 pageant.
He advised that she suspends all her modeling activities forthwith, and get across to the firm, or risk facing a legal suit.
The company also formally announced to the Lolos that plans are in top gear to hold a state-of-the-art event later this year. They were also informed that they will play major roles in advertorials and promotions, including special appearances on video skits, photos, billboards and social media. 
Project Media, Igbo Awards/Lolo Pageant, Jennifer Agu who gave a rundown of the plans revealed that Lolo Abia(Chisom Ngwoke) and Lolo Anambra (Oluoma Udechukwu) sent their regrets for their absence.
