Engr. Chris Osa Ogiemwonyi, one of the front runners for the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 10 polls in Edo State, has reiterated that he stands on the same page with the incumbent governor of the state, Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole, on his submission to the national fact findings and reconciliation committee set up to address the perceived in-fighting that is ongoing in the state chapter of the party. In a media chat in Benin over the weekend, Engr. Ogiemwonyi asserted that the governor’s submission to the Olagunsoye Oyinlola’s team was meaningful.
“I support the governor’s statement. All the Edo State APC stakeholders and governorship aspirants are all clamouring for a level playing field so that we can have a formidable candidate emerging during the governorship primaries to fight the opposition party, PDP.
“So, so far, so well, we are praying for a crisis free primaries in a few weeks time,” he averred.
On developmental strides, he scored the Comrade Oshiomhole led administration in Edo State of scoring a whooping 80 percent.
“If you had read the interview I granted an international journal recently while in London I scored the governor (Comrade Oshiomhole) 8 out of 10 in terms of performance.
“If you look at the things the governor has done in the health sector, infrastructure including building of schools, roads, drainages etc. The governor has done pretty well and nobody can take that from him.
Engr. Ogiemwonyi described the late Benin monarch, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Oba Erediauwa, as a great man who touched peoples lives in a positive irrespective of their background and ethnic nationality.
