PHOTOS: Edo boils as Civil Society organisations enter streets to protest subsidy removal





Edo citizens woke up this morning to witness two major Civil Society organisations in separate moves to protest the fuel price hike.

While the Edo Civil Society Organizations(EDOCSO) led a protest across the major streets of the city of Benin, Edo’s capital, Network of Civil Societies of Nigeria ( NOCSON) held a highpowered press briefing at the NUJ Press Centre.

Barrister Austin Osakwe, Comrade Philip Ugbodaga, Rev David Ugolor, Marxist Kola Edokpayi, Comrade Armstrong, Comrade Lucky Irukpe, Comrade Kingsley Asemota and others made up the leadership of NOCSON team, while Comrade Omobude Agho, Comrade Osazee Edigin, Comrade Annie Umoru, Comrade Charles Idehen, and Fabulous Oni led EDOCSO to the streets against FG decision.
