On Thursday 12th May 2016, members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) met at the Government Lodge Awka with the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano who doubles as Leader of the Party and Chair BOT as the host.
The National Chairman Victor Oye, National Secretary Comrade Labaran Maku and other top members were there, and so were the Chief Maxi Okwu team(Otu Anyi Agaba) who had been at loggerheads with the party leadership under Victor Umeh.
It was a very successful meeting, as the leaders discussed ways of bringing the party into the path of greatness once again.
According to Chief Maxi Okwu, leader of the Otu Anyi Agaba who spoke with our correspondent, “the Governor very engaging and he received us with a lot of warmth. Dr Oye was very enthusiastic about the future of the party in his keynote address. All in all, it was a great reunion of a family after a big fight. The details of our re-entry are still being worked out”.
According to them, the group intends to thank God for his intervention in the affairs of APGA at a mass to be celebrated at St Dominic’s Catholic Church Abatete in Idenmili LGA of Anambra State. The mass is billed for May 29, 2016 and will also be used to mark the 2016 Democracy Day.
They also invited all stakeholders to be there, as Mass will begin at 9 am.
