KIM COLLINS has been booted out of the London Olympics – for spending the night in a hotel with his WIFE.

The St Kitts and Nevis sprint ace was missing from the first round heats of the men’s 100 metres this morning after being thrown out by his own camp.

He was disciplined after leaving the athlete’s village against team rules to visit his family.

The former World and Commonwealth Champion took to Twitter to share his disgust over his omission saying: “This can’t be right. Olympic number 5 and no Kim Collins.”

He tweeted: “My fans. I won’t lie. Won’t be running later tonight @LO2012.”

Earlier he messaged: “Even men in prison get their wives to visit.”

He thanked all his twitter fans and told them: “All I want to do is run.

“This is what I’ve been doing all my life.”

Fans tweeted their support with @elieeeescha saying: “what an absolute joke!!! Why the hell can’t a man see his wife? Ridiculous!!”

And Olympiadi2012 added: “It’s incredible! Go Kim, we are with you!”

The 36-year-old, who is taking part in his fifth Olympics, proudly carried his nation’s flag at the opening ceremony.

It is believed Collins will not run for his country again after he posted: “For those who saw me run in Mexico. That’s the last time I represent my country.”

But he remains entered in the 200 metres and the 4×100 relay.

He competed in London at Crystal Palace back in July but had to withdraw from the final of the 100 metres due to injury.

Collins is the second St Kitts and Nevis Olympics team member to be disciplined.

Sprinter Tameka Williams, the only woman on the team, was sent home last weekend for a potential drug violation after acknowledging using a substance which was “clearly outside the medical code”.

Meanwhile Usain Bolt cruised through to the semi-finals along with all three Brits — Dwain Chambers, James Dasaolu and the youngster Adam Gemili.
