UNN cancels Post-UTME, as exam questions find its way into Nsuka market

The authorities of the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsuka has ordered an immediate cancellation of its ongoing Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, (UTME) over reports of leakage of the question papers for the test. The three-day screening exercise which commenced on Monday for candidates who chose science and other related courses was called- off on Tuesday upon discovery of massive irregularities in the conduct of the exam.

JUNGLE JOURNALIST learnt that the authorities got wind of the leakage when invigilators on Tuesday were shocked to see students already shading correct answers on their answers sheets even before question papers were distributed.

They immediately confronted the students and were told of how the questions and answers were purchased.

Obviously embarrassed by the development, the school authorities immediately cancelled the examination and rescheduled it for July 27th and 28th.

Sources within the school administration have confirmed the development.

One of the candidates who confessed buying the answers alleged that a yet to be identified staff of the university leaked the questions.

Lamenting the inconveniences the postponement has caused them, one of the prospective undergraduates asked why the institution could allow itself to be caught off guard.
